Jump to the full entry & travel map Puerto Villamil, Ecuador Boat trip over yesterday was long, wet and boring. The regular boats between the islands are just 16 seater fizz boats with a couple of big motors on the back. Every time we hit a big wave (and there were many) we got completely drenched. Nice to finally arrive (2 1/2 hours later) and have a warm shower. Puerto Villamil is a small town, with fantastic volcanic stone pavements and sand streets. They are building like crazy here,
